Honda Classic Fantasy Predictions and Expert Golf Picks
The Honda Classic will be held March 18-21 at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. That means it’s time to pick your best DraftKings fantasy golf lineup. Fortunately, our fantasy golf experts are always ready to help.
Here’s our best Honda Classic lineup from this week’s golfer predictions:
Lee Westwood ($10,600)
Less than two years ago, Westwood dropped to No. 78 in the world golf rankings, but was back-to-back runners-up at Arnold Palmer Course, and players kept the soon-to-be 48-year-old all the way back to 19th. Westwood’s magic isn’t just a recent phenomenon. Since winning in Abu Dhabi in January 2020, Westwood has finished in the top 25 12 times, including runner-up three times. One of those solid finishes was on last year’s Honda – the T4 in rough conditions. The revival continued this week.

Adam Scott ($10,100)
Scott continues to make cuts and cash checks — his current cut streak of 12 is the fourth-longest active streak on the tour. The problem is, he didn’t turn the weekend race into a stellar result. His best performance on the current streak is a T10 on the Farmers. But the PGA National is one of the toughest non-major tracks on the tour — it’s a last-man event, and a lot of people skip it — and a crafty veteran with a major on his resume should be able to ride the famous The Bear Trap was relatively unscathed. Scott won the race in 2016 and followed with T14 and T13 in 2017-18.
Mackenzie Hughes ($7,800)
The Canadian is a horse this week, earning a spot on our list this week with a personal second-place finish at last year’s Honda, a sneaky, dangerous trade. He was the best in the field at the windy PGA National during the 66-66 weekend of 2020. It’s been a mixed bag this year, but he’s 14th in SG: Putting and has made the top 10 twice.
Phil Mickelson ($7,400)
The southpaw is only at Honda for the fourth time in his career, but he’s moving to Jupiter and he wants to perform for his new neighbor. That’s a good boost for a tournament that struggles to attract big-name venues, and it could be a good boost for Mickelson, though Mickelson showed up in his 50s. There was a clear decline, but he still had victory in his mind. Phil played four rounds or better in The Players last weekend, and a similar play could make him a contender this week — even if it goes against his swing mentality.
Steve Stricker ($6,800)
This year’s two Ryder Cup captains will have the chance to play a mano this week, and surprisingly, they’re both worthy of fantasy. Stricker, 54, picks his spots carefully these days, and his insight often pays off, with his most recent offerings a T4 at Waste Management and a T17 at Mayakoba. He’s still a green wizard, finishing 14th in SG: Around-the-Green, a skill that will come in handy at the PGA National.
Padraig Harrington ($6,800)
Our crafty veteran theme continues with the two-time Honda Classic champion, whose most recent PGA Tour victory came with a 2015 Honda. The three-time Grand Slam champion is captaining the 2021 Euro Ryder Cup, and while captaining is a long shot, he says he’s farther and straighter than ever. There’s something to be said for local knowledge this week — he’s amassed 5 under at the Hazardous 15 at the PGA National since 2007, which dumped 72 in the water last year alone. ball.
