- High School: Colony High, Palmer, Alaska.
- Year of graduation: 2021.
- Height/Weight: 6’6/190 lbs.
Patrick McMahon will be among the best high school basketball players of 2021. Soon, it’s not hard to see this talented player perform as a Class I star at the Big Sky Conference.
Patrick McMahon, who stands out among college players in Little Alaska, is now devoting his time and energy to Montana. He might be the best sleeper recruit to come out of this basketball frenzy.
The favorable height gives him the opportunity to play above the rim on the wing and shoot from the outside.
Nothing is certain now. Patrick is not yet sure if it belongs to the state of Montana. Other schools might come in and steal him before signing day.
#3.Nick Smith – shooting guard
- High School: Sylvan Hills High, Sherwood Arkansas.
- Year of graduation: 2022.
- Height/Weight: 6’4/170 lbs.
It’s still a year away from the moment we see Nick Smith step onto the high school basketball court. However, his performance on the varsity team has proven his potential. He’s an all-around defender with the ideal size.
Nick Smith and Derian Ford are two names that have made national headlines. Many basketball fans are looking forward to seeing their top game in 2020.
#4. JD Davison – Point Guard
JD Davidson
- High School: Calhoun School, Alabama.
- Year of graduation: 2021.
- Height/Weight: 6ft/3,175lbs.
The talent is No. 2 at the point guard position and is the most wanted player in the country in 2021. He won the 2020 Class 2A Alabama State Championship game with a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
A stellar junior, JD Davison’s stats were excellent: 6.0 steals, 12.0 rebounds, 33.4 points, 4.0 blocks and 5.0 assists.
Davidson has managed to build a solid reputation as a skilled national player with career prospects who can play at the rim no matter who he faces.
#5.Nate Santos – Small Forward
- High School: Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, Connecticut.
- Year of graduation: 2021.
- Height/Weight: 6’7/205 lbs.
Santo’s games captivate audiences with unique characters. It feels like senior college is focusing on a 6-foot-7 wing who is averaging 6.0 rebounds and 17.1 points per game.
What can Santos master? He has the ability to score consecutively.
Who would have thought that a tall and strong high school basketball player like him could display such perfect guard skills? This guy is a strong player in scoring from the mid-range, to the rim and from beyond the arc.
Santos’ older brother KJ is also a basketball player for the Missouri team. So, he came from a sports family. That’s why he understands the ropes.
#6. Sage Tolentino – Center
saint tolentino
- High School: Maryknoll High School in Honolulu, Hawaii.
- Year of graduation: 2022.
- Height/Weight: 7 feet 1/190 lbs.
You won’t find a true 7-foot-1 talent show with elite prospects like Sage Tolentino anywhere else but at Maryknoll High.
During 2019-2020, as a junior, he averaged 10.0 rebounds and 10.0 points per game, leading this high school team to its second straight Division I state championship game and state championship.
Top basketball players with fantastic prospects in Hawaii aren’t as plentiful as in other states, so the process of discovering Tolentino has been slow. However, the rest of the country has begun to keep pace.
#7.Michael Foster – Power Forward
- High School: Hillcrest Prep, Phoenix, Arizona.
- Year of graduation: 2021.
- Height/Weight: 6’9/220 lbs.
Michael Foster is projected to be an athletic first-round NBA pick, can play both forward positions, and likely has the ideal size.
One of Foster’s competitors for the state’s “Best Player” title is Darren Holmes — a boy who left Arizona to transfer to Montverde College in Florida.
Ironically, Foster left Milwaukee, Wisconsin (his hometown) to be part of Hillcrest Prep, and 2019 NBA No. 1 overall pick DeAndre Ayton — another big man — went from there come out.
#8. Nnanna Njoku – Center
Nnanna Njoku
- High School: Sanford School in Hoxing, Delaware.
- Year of graduation: 2021.
- Height/Weight: 6ft 10/245lbs.
The Wildcats are ready to steal the college-ready capable Nnanna Njoku, who can make an immediate impact and already has the ideal size at 250 pounds and 6-foot-10. It feels like he can clash with any opponent he faces in the game.
One disadvantage of using Njoku is that he is not very athletic. However, he was an excellent rebounder, averaging 9.0 rebounds and 16.0 points per game, and shot 73 percent from the field as a junior.
All this is enough to prove that his athletic ability is very good.
#9.Tucker DeVries – shooting guard
- High School: Waukee High School, Waukee, Iowa.
- Year of graduation: 2021.
- Height/Weight: 6’6/200 lbs.
In his explosive junior year, Tucker DeVries rocked the game. He averaged 4.7 assists, 7.8 rebounds, 21.4 points, and shot 48.1 percent from 3-point range, contributing to the runner-up in the state championship.
The shooting guard’s ability seems to come from within DeVries. At 6-foot-6, he’s a next-level problem.
After another year of hard work for his game, DeVries decided to play for the Drakes, whose head coach is his father. Iowa, Florida, the Air Force, Oregon and South Dakota also offered him generous scholarships.
#10.Moussa Diabat – power forward
Mussa Diabat
- High School: IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL.
- Year of graduation: 2021.
- Height/Weight: 6ft 10/215lbs.
Walking down the same path as fellow Frenchman Rudy Gobert, many viewers consider big boy Moussa Diabate a foolproof lottery pick. He has won two consecutive “NBA Defensive Player of the Year” awards and is one of the outstanding products of the NBA Basketball Without Borders program.
Diabate was an excellent high school basketball player on the defensive end due to his rebounding and shot-blocking abilities. Still, it may not be easy to see another leap in his play area if he continues to develop his mid-range strategy.
#11.Jaylen Washington – Power Forward
- High School: Westside High School, Gary, Indiana.
- Year of graduation: 2022.
- Height/Weight: 6’8/200 lbs.
If you follow CBS Broadcasting Inc regularly, you must have at least heard the name Jalen Washington.
After two serious injuries over the past few years, basketball fans are still waiting for Jale Washington to be healthy enough to play. Those injuries cost him many of his sophomore seasons.
Washington is the obvious answer to why the high school cause has become so marginal. He’s a top rookie and future NBA lottery pick.
